Excellent, Gene! I thought that would be a toughie; how did you get it so quickly?

I figured he probably was from a southern state, old enough to have grown and somewhat established children by 1860. My first thought was Polk, but he never had any children. Taylor was the second choice, he had a son that served in the Confederate Army.

I did search info about Benjamin Harrison and found that he served in the war, but I found no reference to him being injured. In the process, I also found two sources that said Hayes was only wounded four times -- and had four horses shot out from under him.
