It looks like Fox News is reporting on leaves from Lincoln's notebook that were reproduced 60 years ago in The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. What about them would make one think that Lincoln had more than a few months of formal schooling?

Aren't the math problems that Lincoln wrote out more advanced than one would think he would be doing for the amount of formal education he was thought to have at that point?
