RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Are you sure you have the right photo? I think that's a photograph of stage actress Julia Dean Cooper. According to her Wikipedia page, she was the daughter of actor and theater manager Edwin Dean:

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Yes, I am sure I have the right photo. I agree the other lady could be a twin, but the President's daughter whom I posted did not have a twin sister.

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Hint #1: Like my previous question, this daughter of a President has an article devoted to her in Wikipedia.
Note to Steve: It's possible that there is some sort of confusion/mistake between photos of the Presidential daughter I am looking for and Julia Dean Cooper. The two women do look very much alike. I'll explain why I am confused after the right answer is posted. |

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
I'm not sure about the period - the hairdo looks like 19th century, the dotted blouse rather 20th century. Was the photo taken in the 20th century?

Total shot in the dark. Grover Cleveland?

Hint #2: She frequently served as White House hostess when her mother was ill.

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Congratulations, Steve! Yes, it is Mary Abigail Fillmore.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Abigail_Fillmore The image I posted is a reverse image of the photos here https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/2706...l-fillmore and https://filiopietismprism.blogspot.com/2...lmore.html However, the reversed image I posted looks exactly like an actress named Julia Dean. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Dean...born_1830) Thus, I am confused. I think I posted an image of Millard Fillmore's daughter, but I am not 100% certain. Possibly someone can clear up the confusion. |

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Please try to answer without googling.
Which President is responsible for this quote? "Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle." |
