| Blumenthal's New Biography of Lincoln v. 1
If you have not read Sidney Blumenthal's first volume (of four projected) on Lincoln, you should. It is a very well written, deeply researched, and skillful interpretation of Lincoln's early political education. I reviewed it for the Charleston Post and Courier: http://www.postandcourier.com/20160703/1...shaped-him Don H. Doyle, author of The Cause of All Nations: An International History of America's Civil War, Basic Books. https://www.facebook.com/causeofallnations

Sounds interesting Don. If only I didn't already have a stack of books that will easily take me 18 months to read through, but what's one more? So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

I purchased this book about a month ago. Thanks Don for the link to the review. I think the book just moved closer to the top of my pile!
