Very good Roger, but I am sorry I woke you up at 3:55 in the morning when the answer came to you.
I read the quote from David Donald's biography on Lincoln. My next clue was going to be...this friend of Lincoln shares the same first name as an important character on Leave it To Beaver (not Lumpy) So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

This quote is from 1864, and while considered a Radical Republican, he was no supporter of Lincoln and his policies. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
