RE: A Sandburg Stumper
Sorry Roger, but that's not what I'm heading toward.

That's a clever guess Mike, but not correct.

I, for one, am totally "lost" on this one, Rob. Can you give any type of clue?

RE: A Sandburg Stumper
Sorry about that Roger. I was at work today and didn't have time to put any clues up. Here's the first.
Sandburg and Tarbell didn't know each other when what I'm looking for happened. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

RE: A Sandburg Stumper
Does it have something to do with the oil business?

Actually, Standard Oil is only half right. Sandburg's part has nothing to do with Standard Oil.

I will try a different approach. Did Tarbell and Sandburg speak at the same colleges or on the Chautauqua circuit at different times on different subjects? Maybe she spoke on Standard Oil and he read poems?

A great guess Anita, but not correct.
Truth be told, I'm running out of clues. I'll let the question sit until tomorrow and if no one has the correct answer, I'll reveal the answer. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell
