RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
It either has something to do with a chicken in every pot and a car for every garage
or smoking pot in a car with a chicken Herbert Hoover or Bill Clinton? So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Good job, Gene! It is Herbert Hoover. You win the chicken, but not the car.

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Seems I have to guess, too, today. Well then: Was she born in the 19th century and did she die in the 20th?
Hint#1: Excellent guess, yes. (Actually she died exactly 30 years before I was born.) |

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
After Lincoln's death Mary wore black morning clothes until she died. There was however a day she made an exception. When was it?

I don't remember which, but it was one of the last ones before he died. She wore a black silk dress instead, at his request. |

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Toia, you are correct. The exception was for Tad's 18th birthday. Your prize is a choice of flowers for your hair and fabric in your choice of bold blue, magenta, canary yellow or royal purple- some of Mary's favorites.
