Eva, that looks like an Osborn Oldroyd museum. (?)
Excellent guess, Roger, the photos Dave shared here:

...indeed look similar!
I'm sorry to say this photo was not taken inside an Oldroyd museum.
This interior looks like it started life as a country store or drug store? We had counter showcases in our old store identical to the ones on the left in this photo. That said, I'm going to turn around and guess the original Army Medical Museum?
It looks like it could be a dry goods store in Springfield during Lincoln's time.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Could it be Tinsley's Dry Goods?

I've got to visit this place this weekend.
Nice link, thanks, Gene! (I would so much love to join you and see that...can't complain though since on vacation.) The next trivia question will be: "Who is the bust in the one (the lower) photo on that link?" (My guess: Andrew Jackson??)

Laurie and Gene, these are excellent guesses, you are on the right track, but haven't nailed the very place yet.
Please try again!
All I have ever seen is an exterior photo of the Stuntz' store in Washington where Abraham Lincoln took Tad to buy toys, etc. As far as I know there are no interior photos, but maybe you, Eva, have found one?

Kudos, Roger, you nailed it!!! Yes, I found it here:

You win the doll's song from Offenbach's "The Tales of Hoffman" - Olympia is a life size mechanical doll, which needs frequent winding up...

I am aware of one sculpture of Abraham Lincoln with a weapon in his hand. Where is it?
It appears I've stumped the Forum! The one sculpture that I am aware of (there may be others) that fearures Lincoln holding a weapon is found inside the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Cleveland, Ohio. Lincoln is shown handing a rifle over to a freed slave. In Lincoln's other hand is the loosened shackles from the slave. The symbolism meaning, if course, that Lincoln freed the slave and made it so that the slave could serve to fight for freedom in the military.
That was a great question, Bill. I sure spent some time trying to find the answer. Once you posted the answer I found a photo:

Roger, that's the one! As far as I know-it's the only sculpture of Libcoln with a weapon- a noteworthy trivia item! Thanks for posting the pic.
Here's another!

Photograph of a statue of Abraham Lincoln, sculpted by Leonard Crunelle and located in Dixon, Illinois. Shows Lincoln holding a coat and sword, as he may have looked while serving as captain during the Black Hawk War. https://repository.library.brown.edu/stu...bdr:68800/

Anita: nice one! Ok. That's now two of him holding a weapon.
Still, the sculpture inside the Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument in Cleveland of Lincoln gripping a musket is one-of-kind in itself. There is something else I noticed inside the monument- there is a sculpture there of Lincoln with various officers- among them is Robert Todd Lincoln. Is this the only depiction of RTL in uniform (in sculpture)?
