Churchill is correct, Roger! Kudos!!!
Well, then, I think it must be a monument composed of famous people, leaders, etc. I am clueless, however, on where it is.

I suggest Joe's #1 modus operandi...

(And Roger, you will score in any case for all these good clues and keywords...)

Research.
I've been busy cheating, and it's not working!

Maybe a larger peep will help:

Oakland, California?
Kudos, Joe - you are simply a professional in this field....
More info on all 25 "champions of humanity" here - I found "Remember Them" such a great project that I just had to use it:

New score:
Laurie 8
Joe 8
Gene 6
Roger 6
Rogerm 2
Thomas 2

To borrow a winged phrase - this reminds me of a song:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_R7BYSgz8xY

"Thy hand, Belinda, darkness shades me,
On thy bosom let me rest,
More I would, but Death invades me;
Death is now a welcome guest.

When I am laid, am laid in earth...Remember me, remember me..."

I wonder if Abraham Lincoln had ever heard the aria or even seen the opera (composed by Purcell in 1688)...in any case he missed Jessye Norman's magic voice!!!
It reminds me of a song too, Eva. I'll bet Google got a good workout tonight.

8 years of Catholic school down the drain, but I'm right were I want to be. If I'm not here tomorrow night at 6:00, you'll know I've passed on.

Hope it was still a challenge...
I think you sabotaged the internet, Yankee. I was Googling like crazy to no avail. When I tried to return to the forum, I got a message from MyBB that the server could not connect me. I managed to get back right after Eva declared you the winner.

You would have won anyhow because I never did find anything regarding those sculptures and that project. How on earth did you find it?

Interesting project that I had never heard of and a well-rounded group of honorees.

You know my computer skills, Laurie! Only Roger knows how to disable the entire internet.

My connection keeps going down, too. To find the correct answer, all I did was Google what I sa

My computer skills are worse than yours. I haven't figured out how to do that maneuver yet.

Can I have your points then?
