Me Too !
I have a book signing, Powerpoint presentation and disscussion this Friday (7:00 PM) at the Pike County Historical Society in Milford, PA. Wine and cheese will be served and it is also the Milford Music Festival so after (or during if I am boring) you can go out into the streets and hear some great music.
Go here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pike-Coun...7333186969 Thanks! |

RE: Me Too !
It's wonderful that you, Jim, and the book are getting good p.r. I know that you, especially, have put many years into this whole project. The grave locations are just the tip of the iceberg, folks; Rich was tackling relics and artifacts too when I first communicated with him about five or so years ago. Can you tell us when you first started this "hobby?"

RE: Me Too !
Yes. Laurie,
It was 1974 and I was reading Moby *****. I wanted to learn more about the author, wondering where he lived - New Bedford, Boston, Providence, Nantucket etc. Nope! He lived in the Bronx in NY working as a customs collector. His books were not popular during his lifetime and he did not have much money. He is buried there. Standing in front of his grave you can hear the elevated subway screeching into the station. A long way from the south Pacific. Moby ***** gets edited? Ok, Herman Melville's book about a white whale. I hope that is OK? |

RE: Me Too !
Best of luck, Rich. I'm stopping in after work. See you there.

RE: Me Too !
Rich,
I knew you had been working on this for years, but had no idea for how long! When you began your project, I was still changing diapers on my daughter. She just turned forty last month! Does time really fly when YOU are having fun, Rich? Have a wonderful Friday evening because you sure deserve the accolades -- now I'm holding my breath for Vol. II, you guys... |

RE: Me Too !
I have to thank Laurie for introducing Rich and myself. Rich and I would go back and forth on emails and phone calls when finally he said we should do a book. I still blame him for that idea! Rich has an insatiable appetite for this stuff and incredible recall.

RE: Me Too !
I attended Rich's presentation tonight at the Pike County Historical Society. Rich did a fantastic job for the very nice crowd that gathered. Being more familiar than most folks with the assassination story (I think) and having read Rich & Jim's book, I was delighted Rich included many anecdotes and photos not included in the book that were very new to me. A great presentation and the conference crowd will not be disappointed next March. Kudos, Rich.

RE: Me Too !
Joe, thanks for attending and the kind words. The attendee's had a lot of questions about everything and I was glad Joe was there to assist me in answering them.

RE: Me Too !
I forgot to mention Rich's very gracious mention last night of Eva Lennartz recent find regarding the Rathbones. Rich gave her full credit for turning what was previously believed about the final resting place of Henry and Clara on it's ear.

RE: Me Too !
I'm really happy that you appreciate all this, but please, it's not so much that I did, I honestly didn't expect all these reactions. I was just curious myself.
Congratulations to your successful presentation, Rich! |
