Thank you for your correct guess, Veronica; however, if you go to the previous guesses, you will see that Steve Whitlock got it first.

One or two more...no googling please.

Which President, after leaving office, had the shortest retirement before passing away?

Roger and Veronica,

Veronica was trying for the first go-around, which is Jimmy Carter as the longest lived/living president, and John F. Kennedy as the shortest lived president.

Good guess, Michael. Washington's retirement lasted only 2 years, 285 days. However, your guess is incorrect.

Kudos, Steve! Polk indeed had the shortest post=Presidency life: he passed away only 103 days after leaving office.

Point to Steve.

Last one.

Six Presidents lived past age 90. Five of them are Herbert Hoover, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter.

Who is the 6th?

No googling please.

"If you give me a week, I might think of one."

The above are the words of a President when asked by a reporter to name a major idea of the Vice-President that had been adopted by the administration.

Who was the President who said this? Who was his Vice-President?

Good guesses, Gene and Michael, but kudos to Bill. Excellent memory, Bill. The personal chemistry between Eisenhower and Nixon was not good.

Here is a brief one minute clip in which Ike says this of Nixon:
