RE: Inside the Mary Todd Lincoln House
Thanks for sharing! Lexington is a beautiful town. I also enjoyed going to Lexington Cemetery and the home of Cassius Clay.

RE: Inside the Mary Todd Lincoln House
Thanks Roger. Great photo tour of the Mary Todd Lincoln home in Lexington. I'd like to have the bookcase in the guest room- very unusual.
Lincoln enjoyed staying here. He especially loved the library. |

I second Anita! I loved the piano and the furniture in general!

RE: Inside the Mary Todd Lincoln House
I like the custom-made 3D-looking wallpaper in the house. (A lot of research, discovery, care and money to recreate.)
I also found interesting, if I remember correctly – The dining room floor has been recreated from clues. (Which clues from where? Family notes? Pattern-books from the time?) The floor and its neat pattern are made from natural linoleum. It seems like such a modern, unnatural material, but… Decorative, easy to clean. I can imagine guests being impressed by such modernity. |
