Kudos, Betty! That is correct. The claim is on p. 6 of Weichmann's book. He says it happened at a public reception, and he shook hands with Lincoln. It says, Taking my hand in his with a firm, full grasp, his words were, "How do you do, sir? I am glad to see you."
