Article about Charles County's Lincoln 150
I was very close to not posting this, given the numerous errors in it, but the local Southern Maryland newspaper did an article about the events in Charles County this past weekend. It's sad that the reporter never really asked Lindsey and I any questions and instead relied on getting quotes from people who don't really know the facts. At the very least, it has a nice picture of Lindsey and I in costume giving our very detailed and accurate talk that the reporter chose not to use.

Nice, besides it was David E. Herold not David Lee Herold.

I watched Lindsey throw a temper tantrum in my office when she read that article and saw the misquote re: Herold. Of all people, Lindsey would never get his name wrong. Herold's history is her "baby," and she is well-versed in it. She has the makings of a book on him.

She also commented that the reporter did not take any notes, so I guess he thought he knew it all to begin with. You really have to be careful of those kind...

Bummer you didn't put it on Youtube. I bet it would have a billion hits by now. Big Grin
