Opening Day Baby!!!!!!
Baseball begins tonight! The Orioles don't start until tomorrow But my dad is watching tonight's game...... with THE CUBS nonetheless (He knows about WGN America dropping Chicago sports). Can't wait til the Birds lift that World Series trophy.

Lincoln would have been a Met fan. John Hay's granddaughter, Joan Whitney Payson, was the Mets original principal owner.

In their woeful early years the Mets were the baseball equivalent of the sleeping sentries whom Lincoln pardoned.

I would guess Cubs or White Sox as he was nominated for President in Chicago in 1860.

Great that you agree with me about the Bronx Bombers.It has always been about New York City and the rest of New York State!Most of the tax $$$$ flow to New York City.The Yankees and Mets get the ink,and we get the minor league sports etc.That's fine with me,so,I am an avid fan here.The same goes for the study of Lincoln.There is a lot of Lincoln history up here!
