This was the one thing I truly hoped I could attend and now it'll come true. Reignette, you just totally produced lots of sunshine here in Germany!!! P.S.: I saw your note but cannot answer it from my phone since I am at work; will answer tonight after return. In case of emergency, Lincoln and children first. |

Attention Dave: I have already passed up one ticket offer that went to Angela. I also took the advice of forum member KateH to look on eBay, but there were no tickets. I read the article on Boothie Barn and am asking this question. The Lincoln assassination is something I have studied since I was nine. It would really mean a lot to me if I could have those extra two tickets to A Lincoln Commemoration. Tahnk you for your consideration. Thomas Kearney, Professional Photobomber. |

Thomas - I just have to have a teaching moment here. Have you ever heard the term, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?" Maybe you should have taken the first ticket offered you?

Laurie or should I say Ms. Verge,
I understand you were a teacher so I wanted to tell you that had you been my teacher I would have done ANYTHING to be teachers pet. You know, stay after school, clean the chalkboard AND erasers, tattle on other students. True I would have been picked on and called names by the other boys and girls but it would have been SO worth it. As for Thomas and his ticket problem perhaps you could point out to him that of all of us here on the board he actually has a chance to still be alive for the bicentennial in 2065. Im just saying. Your favorite student, David |

There will never be another Ford's150, and I want to be part of the once in a lifetime commemoration. With that post on Boothie Barn being the only other offer I have. This is my last chance. Since I don't have a Twitter page I don't want to sit out in the cold rain like many did on that night so long ago. I was hoping to get the last pair of tickets for me and my mother. I hope all of the forum members understand my situation. See you all tomorrow. Thomas Kearney, Professional Photobomber. |

I say be grateful to be in D.C. at all! I know a lot of us wish we could be there for the 150th, "A Lincoln Commemoration" or not. Hope tomorrow goes well for everyone there.

Having seen your artistic qualities and your tenacity in producing these videos over the past several years, there is no doubt that you would have been a favorite student! As for the bicentennial in 2065, it reminded me that I began teaching in 1965, the last year of the centennial of the Civil War! Gotta go now; it's past my curfew at the nursing home... |
