Very good - it's Mary's stove in Springfield. Actually I feel not competent to decide if this is a wood stove (a kitchen stove certainly) but assume y'all are thinking of the correct item and place.

Thanks for giving all three of us the credit for correct answers. I'm sure that the Lincolns' kitchen stove was wood burning. I have read that it was the man's duty to keep the stoves stoked, but that Mary had to do it because her husband was away so much of the time. There's an article online that I will never find again about what a good housekeeper and mother Mary Todd Lincoln turned out to be after a childhood of being pampered.
