Kudos to Eva Elizabeth for her article on the Rathbones post-assassination life in Germany. It appears in the September issue of The Surratt Courier. It is nice to see it in article format. And thanks, Eva, for all of your careful research and sleuthing that went into putting this together.
Joe

I second Joe! The Courier has not yet arrived here in Florida, but kudos to Eva on all the work and research she has done. Eva, your efforts are greatly appreciated!

RE: Eva Elizabeth Lennartz
I just finished reading Eva's article in the Courier and she did a wonderful job. Congratulations, Eva!!

One thing that struck me was how things we think we have an answer to can be turned on their ear by some great research and dogged determination. For me, learning something new in a 148 year old story is absolutely fascinating.

RE: Eva Elizabeth Lennartz
Thank you very much, you all are so kind, indeed! But it's really not worth that much ado about it. Also I'm not used to that (imagine the figurative ostrich now, head dug in the sand...). Most people here consider such freetime activities and interests a bit odd, almost impossible to share with anybody. Just great I can share now. BTW It's funny that I've received the issue already on Tuesday morning. Thanks again, Laurie!!!

RE: Eva Elizabeth Lennartz
Again Thank you Eva. You did such a credible job of buttoning up the misinformation that has persisted for 100 years. I don't think that anyone on this side of the Atlantic could have accomplished what you have done.
