The end of North & South magazine!
I received notification a short time ago that publication of the excellent North & South magazine has ceased. This is very sad. I don't know what everyone else thinks, but that particular magazine has always been my favorite. I've always felt just the cover art of the magazine was well worth the price of the whole thing. In it's place- we are being offered a new publication called The Civil War Monitor. I received the first issue but haven't had time to even open it up.

RE: The end of North & South magazine!
From what I've seen, Civil War Monitor is an excellent publication - and I'm seriously thinking of purchasing a subscription to that one -

RE: The end of North & South magazine!
As a subscriber to North & South, I'm being offered a one year subscription to the Civil War Monitor for $14.95- cant beat that!

RE: The end of North & South magazine!
If North and South had had a publisher who knew what he was doing, it could have survived. As it is, I would quickly grab on to the Monitor. It is what North and South should have been, with an editor who knows what he's doing.

Rob, if that is the case- then I'm even more saddened at the loss.
