Can you remember where you got it from? Thanks! Are you sure it was John Surratt? The last time I saw Mike Kauffman he was speaking at a Civil War Roundtable convention in Des Moines that I attended, then we went back to his hotel room and talked until 2 am. At that time he was preparing for a European trip to do research. He told me Agnes Booth Clarke, married to John Sleeper Clarke, refused to divorce her husband after he was rattled by his brother-in-law's horrific killing of Lincoln and that he had been swept up with other Booth family members. Agnes lived for a time in the London building which much later became Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded. |

RE: Assassination Trivia
Thanks much, Dr. Houmes!!! Fascinating. The world is a village. One site I accidentally have seen (- purposely Beatles-wise, of course.)
