Roger, that would be really special but it's not the one Keckley owned. Here's a hint. It's an object that didn't belong to Tad but Tad used to assist his father.

I think Eva's right. Somehow I remember reading about this when the Surratt Society was raising money to mark Mrs. Keckly's grave.

I don't think Tad held the lamp; I think he picked up the sheets of paper his father dropped as he gave his speech.

As I recall there was a conflict of opinion on this. Noah Brooks said he held the light as Tad picked up the pages from the speech as his father dropped them; Mrs. Keckly said Tad held the light. I thought it was a candle.
