Of all the replicas I have seen, this is the most authentic.

That is nice, and fires too!
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Practically all of the lots have images now.

Sadly, I don't think this is an unpublished photograph of Dr. Mudd:

I own this Derringer; the Denix Replicas 1018G Nickel Silver Baby Philadelphia Derringer Replica. Doesn't shoot but is pretty impressive -

Sadly, I don't think this is an unpublished photograph of Dr. Mudd:

Likewise, the image of Mrs. Surratt in the Conspirators Photo Album is also spurious - I noticed that the one of Dr Mudd is not correct as well.... I've seen this purported Surratt CDV many times - it's definitely not her!

Several "entrepreneurs" have attempted to sell that fake Mary Surratt photo over the years. Some have even attached a swatch of hair that they claim came from her. I've also seen the spurious Dr. Mudd photo. I'm surprised that Mr. Dow had these in his collection, unless he was buying fakes just to have them also.

I just received a note from Joe B. saying a message was sent to him from Heritage Auctions indicating bidding was now open.

The auction is tomorrow at 11:00 EST. Apparently it will be streamed live here: http://www.ha.com/c/halive/#sale-6128

I've never seen an auction before so I might watch part of it.

I'm actually watching it now. It's been an hour and they're only on lot 48 of 302 lots. So it's still going to be awhile until they get to the assassination related lots. Even though I'm not bidding, it's fun to watch.

Are the lots bringing good prices?

In my untrained eyes, yes. Only three lots have gone by without bids so far.

About 50 more lots until we get to the assassination related lots.

When they get to the assassination related lots, I'll tweet some of the realized prices on my twitter page: https://twitter.com/BoothieBarn
