Ghosts?
I happened to tune in to an all-day marathon of Ghost Hunters today (a guilty pleasure I have to own up to - though I also have to admit that, by the time the tour is over, and the lights go out, I usually get distracted and lose interest), just in time to catch the Dr Samuel Mudd House episode, with Michael Kauffman! (sorry, Laurie, for that marathon sentence) I had heard about the episode before, but had never seen it. So now I just have to ask ... are there any ghost stories connected with any of our stories or places here?

RE: Ghosts?
Hi Dawn. Did you mean just Mudd-related or any Lincoln-related topic? This one fascinates me (I already have a big interest in the funeral train); it's a little long, but still makes for an interesting read. Click here.
Also, there is a story on this general topic, and an interview with forum member Scott Trostel here. |

Supposedly Fort McNair is haunted -- there are lots of reports of that: http://civilwarwashingtondc1861-1865.blogspot.com/2011/10/does-mary-surratts-ghost-haunt-fort.html and another here: http://ww2.dcmilitary.com/stories/103008/pentagram_28225.shtml "The Past is a foreign country...they do things differently there" - L.
