RE: Extra Credit Questions
Congratulations, Anita. It is indeed Dr. Amos W. French. There is a historical marker devoted to Dr. French:

RE: Extra Credit Questions
I know the author is Carl Sandburg. The book title is a guess based on the photo.
Lincoln Collector- The story of the Oliver R. Barrett Lincoln Collection, or Lincoln - A picture story of his life.

RE: Extra Credit Questions
Anita, you are on the right track. You got one correct...The book's title is Lincoln: A Picture Story of his Life. Good job. However, the book's author is not Carl Sandburg.

RE: Extra Credit Questions
The author is Stefan Lorant.
It's a very nice large, coffee table size book.
Lorant was a talented photo journalist.

I'd consider this a "must have" book about Lincoln.
It's worth a little bit more to search to find a good quality copy.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

RE: Extra Credit Questions
You are correct, Gene. Kudos. It was Robert's home in Chicago.

The Lake Shore Drive home was built in 1893, and Robert lived there for 18 years. The address was 1234 N. Lakeshore Drive. Here is a another photo of that home:

RE: Extra Credit Questions
No googling please.

The Lincoln Catafalque was constructed to support the casket of the assassinated President. Lincoln's body lay in state in the Capitol Rotunda.

Since then many people have lain in State or in Repose on the Lincoln Catafalque.

After Lincoln who was the second person to do so?
