RE: Springfield Tour
Schedule looking good. Can't wait.
March 23 is the opening day for the Lincoln Presidential Library’s latest exhibit, “From Illinois to the White House: Lincoln, Grant, Reagan, Obama.” The exhibit will explore the state’s history through lives of the four U.S. presidents who called it home. |

RE: Springfield Tour
Worse than those soaked-in-grease hot dogs at old ballparks that used to taste so much better than the ones mom cooked at home?

RE: Springfield Tour
When I last checked in, we were talking about the tour. Two days later, it's chicken lips.

RE: Springfield Tour
I've tried to no avail to find out what chicken lips are (and I better don't ask in anatomy class...), all that the Google came up with was too offensive to post.
If it's something to eat it sounds like of the crunchy frog assortment to me: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy6uLfermPU |

"Chicken lips," at least where I come from, is a put-down. Chickens don't have lips, only beaks. Some mean-spirited folks also use it to disparage elderly women - i.e. "old hens." Perhaps it means something different in other parts of the country? Buffalo wings are named after the city of Buffalo, New York, I believe, where they first became a "delicacy" of the masses. And, it is only the meaty part of the wing that is used, and lots of them still have the bone in. The blue cheese dipping sauce is what makes it the true Buffalo variety to me. |
