That's correct, Maddie. It was 541 H Street. The Streets changed after the middle half of the 19th Century so the house numbers changed. It is now 604 H Street today.

Interesting that the address numbers went a negative number (541) to a positive one (604). You would think it would have stayed odd or even-even with a change in the number.
Many cities had a re-numbering of their streets in the last 150 years. Norfolk, Virginia has had a couple of re-numberings. To add to the confusion, Norfolk didn't change all the street numbers at onece. Norfolk sort of evolved their sytem over about 40 years.
