No way Lightning would put up with this. Vicki once made a bow for him to wear at Christmas and ended up almost being scratched to death. Lightning does not celebrate holidays.

LOL!! Lightning sounds like my Bogie and his sister Eartha Kitty. I have spent a fortune on fancy collars for them over the years. After about a half hour of my putting them on the little demons disappear, and when they return the collars are history.

They were rescued feral kitties. Perhaps they feel that wearing collars would make them look like sellouts, untrue to the their humble origins.

I have been a long time fan of the cartoon strip Zippy. Most people I've asked have never heard of it. The ones that have heard of it don't like it- they don't understand it. I confess I don't understand it frequently- but that's partly why I like it. Anyway, Abraham Lincoln has appeared in the strip before- strange place for a "Lincoln sighting" I'd say. There is also a reoccurring character in Zippy that looks like Abraham Lincoln- but I don't remember his name. Zippy, by the way, was born in the fictional town of Dingburg, Maryland- a few miles from Baltimore.

Mine, too; but the NPS would not let it be shot on Mt. Rushmore. The chase was done on a Hollywood set instead. I wonder if Spielberg could pay enough to get it shot at the landmark today - Hitchcock couldn't.

Laurie: I do remember that tid-bit. The set had recreated the faces on Mt. Rushmore- to one or two- thirds of its actual size? That still sounds very large- maybe I got it wrong.
