RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
Here are a couple of random images from the net that I find quite bizarre.

What in the world? LOL. There seems to be no end to what can be done with Lincoln.

Well, those depictions certainly back up the attending surgeons' comments about the President's physique when they performed the autopsy! I don't remember the tattoos being listed, however.

That's the first thing I thought of, Laurie. I don't remember if it was a Doctor or Gideon Welles, but one remarked Lincoln's arms were of a size no one would have thought, given his sparse appearance.

His physical strength was amazing according to written accounts. How did a man 56 years of age maintain that kind of muscle strength without exercising?

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
He may not have got a lot of exercise as President, but in Springfield, right up to the time he left for Washington, he continue to cut and split the wood for the stoves in his home by hand. Doing that by hand is pretty good exercise. Throw in the fact he abstained from alcohol and was a sparse eater. I think his many years of hard labor developed a physique that wouldn't fade away so quickly.

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
Not sure if this counts as a "bizarre" depiction of Lincoln-since it is not Lincoln at all- see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9q2YgL2bio

Probably the Lincoln in death depictions could be a thread on its own

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
I was given a new Lego Lincoln. I on my phone so I can't post a picture of it. Apparently the Lego Lincoln has a small part in the new Lego movie that is out currently. The Lego Lincoln is holding a copy of the Gettysburg Address. With the characteristic hat, beard, and back suit- the figure is instantly recognizable to anyone as Lincoln. I think is facial expression is kind of mean looking really. I suppose that the fact that it is a "Lego Lincoln" qualifies it as bizarre.

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
I was reminded of a bizarre depiction of Lincoln yesterday. It was in the Planet of the Apes movie in the early 2000's. It showed the statue of Lincoln as known in the Lincoln Memorial with the head of an ape.

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
Just saw an advertisement on TV for the upcoming revival of the show Candid Camera. In the promo a cat is dressed up to look like Abraham Lincoln!

RE: Bizarre Depictions of Lincoln
Funny! It's not the same cat but the idea is the same. I was a big fan of Candid Camera in the past. Hopefully I'll be able to check out the new one. Peter Funt is back. I'm not sure if in what capacity.
