You guys are all over the place, but Gene is the closest so far. But also too low.

How about $1500?

Nope, but you're the warmest so far, Rob! Still too low.

RE: Trivial Trivia - taking trivia to new levels
I'll guess $2,500

Does this mean I win the Electric Vehicle that I have to flip off every fuse in the box while I'm charging the car at home so I don't cause a fire?
Or is it the EV that has tires that cost twice as much and wear out twice as fast as my gas powered vehicle, due to the extra weight of the batteries.
Or is the EV where I get a federal tax credit that is off set by a higher property tax and electric rate because I am now not paying gasoline tax?
Or is it the EV where my insurance rates are higher because it cost so much more to repair from an accident than my gas powered vehicle.
Or is it the EV that I have to park outside instead of inside my garage incase after I turn the car off, it could spontaneously combust and burn the house down.
Or is it the one with the dashboard waning light to alert me every time a Chinese weather/spy balloon is overhead.

I think I would rather win one of those new water saving, energy efficient washing machines that cost only 50% more than it did two years ago and take twice as long to wash the clothes than my 20 year old Maytag did.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Close enough, Gene! Ford paid $2400 for the chair. Adjusted for inflation, that's $44,094.74 in today's money.

Unfortunately, the prize vault is empty and I know nothing about electric cars......

For some reason, the price of the Lee table has been stuck in my head since I read it over 45 years ago in 20 Days. Same with the rocker.

This page should answer any questions about the rocker, its conservation and has views of it (rear) I've never seen before. The "Booth's eye view" if you will. https://www.thehenryford.org/collections...coln-chair

A great trivia questions Joe
This reminds me of a song,

According to an old supermarket tabloid, some of Abraham Lincoln' last words as he entered the box at Ford's Theater were turned into an old country song by George Jones - "I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair"

How about some donated clothing items trivia? Let's hit it....

Hard to believe, but this iconic piece of everyday wear associated with Lincoln was once given by Robert Todd Lincoln to his pal that owned the Dorset Inn in Dorset, Vermont. It remained in the family for years until it was returned to Hildene after it's restoration. What is it??????

I would guess one of Lincoln's top hats.

RE: Trivial Trivia - taking trivia to new levels
You nailed it, Rob. Good job!

RTL gave the hat to his good friend (his name escapes me) that owned the Dorset Inn in Dorset, Vt., just a few miles up the road in the next town north of Manchester, Vt. It remained in his family until it was returned after the refurbishing of Hildene which was said to be in terrible condition after the death of the last Lincoln family occupant, Peggy Beckwith, who passed in 1975.

At a tour of Hildene years ago, a docent told me (and I've never heard this anywhere else) that Lincoln owned 7 stovepipe hats at the time of his death. Supposedly 3 remain (the Taper hat is dubious....). This one, the Taper (Forbes) hat and the one in the Smithsonian that Lincoln wore to Ford's Theater. This one is in the best condition. Aside from a dent and slight wear, the Hildene hat is almost pristine. I was also told that they believe this is the hat Lincoln wore to Gettysburg, but again that's from a docent there.

That was decent of the docent to share that dubious detail with you.

Is it Leonard Volk preparing to make a life mask of Lincoln?

Is this a medical treatment?

I know Lincoln had a problem with his feet. But the cloth on his forehead would indicate a different kind of medical problem.
