Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
May the year ahead be cheery and bright.
And may God show us down paths that are right,
And lead our nation from darkness to light.
My very sincere best wishes to all my friends on this forum. 2012 has not been the best of years for me, personally, and for many others. I have been able to stand tall and survive through the friendships that I have made with quite a few of you - many of whom I have never met in person, but you've been there for me when things got rough. You know who you are, and please know that I greatly appreciate your friendship and support. Here's to a better 2013 for everyone around the world.
Laurie, you are a smart, influential, original and fun person, and everyone knows how irritating that can be to some people! I'll bet 2013 will be a great year for you!!!
Jim: I went to your web-page-nice! And now Jim you have something in common with Mr. Lincoln-you both have patents. May you have more success with your invention than Lincoln did with his!
Hope all my friends here have a Merry Christmas and hope 2013 brings much joy to all. I hope I won't be posting as much here during that year (meaning I hope I'll be busy working on my book on Ida Tarbell...seems I've hit a bit of a snag in the work department).
Best
Rob
Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom.

I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic 2013. Our Christmas might be quieter than planned - a snowstorm today and so our son and his family (GRANDCHILDREN!) might not make it over tomorrow. But I hope the snow lets up since middle daughter is getting married on Thursday (and her Marine fiance actually returned from Afghanistan in time!) but if it is still snowing I don't know how that's going to work.

Beautiful card!! Justing getting back in touch with all my new friends. Have been away from you all due to undergoing medical tests for the last two weeks. Going for MRI on monday to see what is up with my kidney. It's nice to get back to reading all the old and new postings. Wishing everyone a wonderful New Years. Be safe and most of all ENJOY your family and freinds. Gary
Best wishes for a happy diagnosis, Gary. Tell that kidney of yours that you have lots to do and lots to learn and share in 2013 so stop its foolishness!
Happy New Year to you also Maddie. It's 4 pm here right now, and I'm still at work. But, I'm sending my very best wishes to all of you on this forum. May 2013 bring us more joys and less worries.
