RE: Rob Wick
Great news Rob! You've earned it! More time for reading, rearranging your books and baking chocolate chip cookies.

RE: Rob Wick
Congratulations.
Looking forward to exploring the Lincoln Boyhood Home and area with you again. Plus pizza. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Rob Wick
Appreciate the kind words! It's going to be strange since I have worked since I was 14. I hope to use the time writing, although Patsy may have other ideas.

RE: Rob Wick
I add my best wishes, Rob.
I know we're all different but I'd like to tell you about my experiences on retirement ... Well, it wasnt really anything like I expected but I'm enjoying it. At the end of every day it seems like I didnt get to do all that I'd planned ... but, yeah, who cares. I'm not too bothered. I do though worry about the amount of time I spend sitting at this laptop. Using a timer is a great idea, if I could adhere to it. When I first retired I had an excrutiating attack of sciatica ... due to my hours long sitting posture, I'm sure. Now we walk and swim regularly. Good luck with the book ... I suggest you tell as many people as possible that you're writing one. That forces you to keep at it. I finished mine ... the actual book didnt take too long to complete. The Endnotes though took ages. ( It has nothing to do with Lincoln. Self published ... interesting experience ... sold one copy. One of my daughters bought it because she felt sorry for me I think!) “The honest man, tho' e'er sae poor, Is king o' men for a' that” Robert Burns |

RE: Rob Wick
Congratulations, Rob! You'll discover a whole new world where you can pretty much do what you want to do each day. I think Patsy (your dog) has the right idea and takes you out for a daily walk.
