Didn't Lincoln normally sign documents "A. Lincoln" instead of using his full name? Not saying this is fake or anything, but it seems odd.

I noticed that, too. I am used to seeing "A Lincoln."

But here is another thought:

I guess it's a scary world out there for the Lincoln collector. So many fakes, fake provenances, some sketchy people. Even if I had the money, I would be scared to death of getting taken.

This is coming from my memory, so I'm sure I am completely butchering this, but I seem to remember something that Oliver Barrett said to the effect that during his time collecting, he was sure he had been cheated, maybe several times, but he bought something just on the off chance that it was real. I searched for a while to try and find it but came up empty, so let the reader beware.

Just to be clear, did President Lincoln's grandson sell these "signatures" himself as if the signatures were legitimate?
