Old Dorm
Can someone clear up some confusion for me?

I thought Old Dorm was Pennsylvania Hall. This site says it's Schmucker Hall.

RE: Old Dorm
Maddie -

As far as I know "Old Dorm" was also "Pennsylvania Hall" at Gettysburg College - and it still stands - Old Dorm and Pennsylvania Hall (Gettysburg College) are one and the same -

The various names can be confusing. THIS is the Gettysburg College building "Old Dorm" in which Lew Powell met Maggie Branson after the battle - it was a Union held hospital first, then Confederate held and then once again a Union held hospital when Lew Powell was conveyed there as a prisoner and put to work at nursing the wounded. He was transferred to Camp Letterman about mid July until mid August when he was then conveyed to Wests' Building Hospital in Baltimore from which he escaped, aided by Maggie Branson in early September of 1863.

This particular photo of "Old Dorm" is from the turn of the century....
