Move over Orville Redenbacher
I arrived at work this morning to find a present on my desk "from an unknown admirer..."
Have any of you heard of American Farmer brand "All Natural, Old School, Movie Theater Popped Corn?" Evidently Old Abe has because he is prominently displayed on the front wearing a pair of 3D glasses. It is labeled as being 100% gluten free and having no MSG -- it also needs more butter for my taste, but it's not bad. The price code says that it came from Marshall's, the chain store. |

Laurie: I'm going to try and check it out today at my local Marshalls. Popcorn is my only vice. Lincoln is supposed to have said:
"It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues." Eat away! Bill Nash |

RE: Move over Orville Redenbacher
When reporter Gobright entered the Lincoln box after the theatre emptied out, didn't he find, besides the pistol, popcorn all over the place? I wonder if it was this brand, and if the Presidential party was eating from bags that looked like this.

Must have looked much like this.....
I heard that Rathbone had a weakness for Raisinets.... "The Past is a foreign country...they do things differently there" - L. P. Hartley |

RE: Move over Orville Redenbacher
Maybe the stains on Lincoln's rocker were really the butter from the popcorn that got on Mary's hands?

RE: Move over Orville Redenbacher
Everyone knows it was popcorn that got Lincoln shot in the first place. Read this shocking expose!
For some reason I can't get the hyperlink thing to work and the italics won't work either. Here's the link to what I was talking about. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/83/83elincoln.phtml Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell
I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent. --Carl Sandburg
