| Government raising fees for researchers
Just a head's up. The The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is proposing an increase of over 500% in accessing and receiving copies of historical immigrant records! The worry I have is that if passed, other records collections may follow suite. "Current fees for copies of records are $65 for an index search, plus $65 to receive a copy of the record. The proposal would boost the fee for search and digitized records to $240, plus $385 if the record is available in paper only, totaling $625 per record." Please consider lodging your complaints with them. https://www.federalregister.gov/document...en-comment https://www.deseret.com/2019/12/11/21005...try-mormon | |||

Sounds outrageous to say the least. My complaint is filed. Thank you for posting.
