Paul Findley

I have just learned that former congressman Paul Findley has died on August 9 at the age of 98. He was author of "A. Lincoln: The Crucible of Congress (1979).

This is sad news. When Paul Findley was in the House of Representatives he represented much of the same area of Illinois as Abraham Lincoln did during his single term.

Findley also courted some controversy in that he was unafraid to stand up to Israel when he believed it to be in the wrong. He was the author of a book titled "They Dare to Speak Out."
