Whenever there are presidential debates, my thoughts always go back to the Lincoln-Douglas debates. There were no teleprompters for those two. They spoke for what- 1 to 2 hours at a time? What were some of the "antics" and tactics of those debates? Name calling? Free food and alcohol?
