New Salem is Getting Old Again
This news article from last week in the Illinois Times titled
"New Salem is Getting Old Again https://illinoistimes.com/article-21208-...again.html Since a small group from this form will be visiting New Salem this weekend, we will update you on our findings here, or in the Springfield Tour thread. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: New Salem is Getting Old Again
Thanks for sharing! I wish I could be there, especially with all the interpreters scheduled to be there Saturday.

RE: New Salem is Getting Old Again
I agree Steve.
Not to embarrass Joe Di Cola, but when he is with us, Joe will engage the interpreters or docents. In their discussions they end up learning from him. It's fun to watch. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

Vicki and I have had a couple of lunches with Joe, and believe me, the gentleman is a walking encyclopedia.
