Oak Ridge Cemetery

I happened to come across this on YouTube tonight. It is very well done and shows numerous Springfield residents who are buried in the cemetery along with some very interesting stories. It's a bit on the long side, but it's worth the time.

One negative, however, is that the filmmaker completely ignores the Lincoln-related burials there, such as Herndon among others. Also, nothing on Oliver Barrett, Benjamin Thomas or Harry Pratt.

My wife and I go to Springfield and visit the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The war memorials are fascinating, we have several pictures from that.

I wish your Springfield tour was the same time as mine. A bunch of us go every year on July 15 - 16 to pay tribute to Mary Lincoln on the anniversary of her death. We organize a nice memorial service in her honor at the Lincoln Tomb.
