RE: Assassination Trivia
Both guesses are excellent but incorrect. This is a tough question.

Hint #1: The correct person has been mentioned previously on this forum.

RE: Assassination Trivia
Yeah, great hint Roger. That means about 9,843,465 names to choose from.

RE: Assassination Trivia
Always good to have the right books at hand. Henry Merrick (thanks to John Fazio).

RE: Assassination Trivia
Great research, Eva!! Henry Merrick, a clerk at the National Hotel, is correct. Some assassination books, perhaps the majority, do not include this conversation.

RE: Assassination Trivia
You know the task of which three books to take to a desert island (AKA Vienna)? I chose John Stanton's, David Donald's "Lincoln", and Ed Steers' "Encyclopedia" because I thought they cover the most questions and topics. (So, which three books would you decide on?)

RE: Assassination Trivia
Many years ago, assassination expert Mike Kauffman discovered a receipt showing that the government paid John Lloyd for his service as a witness in the conspiracy trial. How much was John Lloyd paid?

RE: Assassination Trivia
I'll guess $20

RE: Assassination Trivia
Bit of a storm my way and I may lose power so here's what I have. John Lloyd was paid to turn state's evidence to testify as a witness in the conspiracy trial.
The amount may be in "American Brutus" by Mike Kauffman. I think it was $50.

RE: Assassination Trivia
Michael and Anita, you are both too low.

Hint #1: Although this question may seem difficult, the truth of the matter is that the right answer is not far from being right before your eyes.

I know where the answer is but shall not give away. Hint: Just saw it two days ago. Little known fact I'd never seen before.

RE: Assassination Trivia
(I'm quite sure it's in Mr. Fazio's book, too, but my copy is far away right now!)
So I guess - 75$?

RE: Assassination Trivia
You are also too low, Eva. The correct answer is much closer to you than John Fazio's book.

Hint #1: Two clicks away.
