Camel Attack at the Jefferson Davis Home
What can I say, it's a slow news day here on the forum
http://www.nola.com/pets/index.ssf/2017/...n_sue.html With all the anti Confederate feelings now days, Sir Camelot might want to tread softly or he may be the new attraction in the cafeteria. http://www.visitbeauvoir.org/ So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

She "... was basically just walking across the grounds and this camel charged at her, stampeded her, and ended up biting her..."
Guess she wasn't walking a mile for a camel. Only us old-timers might understand the comment... Bill Nash |

Seems I'm an old-timer...(and I don't even smoke. But I love camels, especially dromedaries!).

Camel brand cigarettes still exist, right? I don't know because I don't smoke.
Is the camel at the Davis sight a throw-back nod to his idea of using them in the military when he was Secretary of War? Bill Nash |

Camels were also imported to Australia, where the population of certain types of Camels today is fairly high when compared to the rest of the world. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

I remember my grandfather smoked Camels because they did not have a filter. I've never smoked, and the idea of an unfiltered cigarette seems rather gross. |
