Lincoln Slept Here
Ed Steers just notified me of a new book. Ed writes:

"I have just posted a new book, along with Kieran McAuliffe, on Amazon.com titled, "Lincoln Slept Here." It is the first in a series covering the seven generations of Lincolns in America. Several more books will follow covering all phases of Lincoln's life and death."

Kudos Ed and Kieran!

RE: Lincoln Slept Here
Ed has been tracing the Lincoln family roots and treks as long as I have known him (almost forty years), so this book has to be a labor of love. Kieran's talents in graphics and design (as well as history) make him the perfect partner.

Re.: "Several more books will follow covering all phases of Lincoln's life and death" - Roger, do you have any information on how many, and what the others each will cover? And about when they will be published? I am very tempted to get this but probably cannot get all the several ones due to thight budget, thus will have to decide.

RE: Lincoln Slept Here
I am not sure how many books will follow, but the next one covers The Birthplace, The Birth Cabin. Fact or Fiction, The Boyhood home, Knob Creek, and Nancy Hanks. The third book will feature Indiana, the fourth Illinois, the fifth On to Washington, President Lincoln and finally, The Assassination. Probably five total. We will try to keep the price as low as possible. In the course of my many travels to Lincoln sites I accumulated approximately 8,000 slides and prints. The object of these book is to utilize the best of the lot and take the viewer to places they may never get to see live. I believe the Redman cemetery is off limits as is the pioneer cemetery at Fort Knox. We are publishing using createspace because we have complete control over design and the price of print-on-demand is substantially lower than with a trade press, thus $18 for the first book. Hope this helps. Please ask any questions you may have. My email is ed@edsteers.com
