RE: The Last Shot
Now if you could somehow tie Edmund Ruffin into the assassination, that would be something!

RE: The Last Shot
I really enjoyed chapter 9. This chapter discusses whether or not Booth was shot by Boston Corbett (or someone else) or committed suicide. The chapter's conclusion is that no one can know with 100% certainty. It could have happened either way. Although I continue to believe Corbett fired the fatal shot, this chapter clearly shows how Booth could have shot himself. For many years I felt this was impossible (based on Dr. Lattimer's analysis), but Bill and Rick clearly show that it was physically possible for Booth to have committed suicide.

This would match my impression of JWB so well that I quote the author - if it didn't happen this way it should have!!!

George was not known for his sartorial splendor. It seems he had a more casual attitude as regards appearance.

Thank you, Roger and Eva, for your kind words. This was exactly the point of the article in its original form; to demonstrate that it was mechanically possible for Booth to have shot himself. In the original, we make use of my son as a model to show how it could have been easily done.
