I just ran across this site relative to David Davis while following the trail of a new fictional character named Elizabeth Stavely, a female journalist of the Lincoln era who appears to be a happening thing on Twitter.

Thanks, Laurie - interesting to learn that the house is a museum now! It looks gorgeous - would love to see it (although my opinion of the judge is quite ambiguous...). I once read he had one of the most beautiful and technically modern houses in Illinois.
