Ford's150 Information
I got a packet about Ford's 150 events in the mail yesterday. I have already made plans to attend events there and skip school to attend the Lincoln Tribute both days. What are your plans for Ford's 150? Have you gotten your information in the mail yet?

RE: Ford's150 Information
I just voted no, since I live to far away and am planning for Springfield, IL this coming Oct.

Please take lots of pictures and give us a nice report of your experience.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

RE: Ford's150 Information
I too wished I lived closer. I'm in CA. Haven't checked Ford's website but I assume the events are posted there. Might be able to make a trip East at some point.

RE: Ford's150 Information
Kate and I will, at the very least, be present around Ford's as they have the re-enactors on the street portraying the crowd on April 14th. We are also hoping we are able to get tickets to their "Lincoln Commemoration" program which will take in the theater at 9:00 pm that night. Those tickets don't go on sale until March. We will also be there for the wreath laying on the 15th at 7:22 am. Part of me wishes I was still in Illinois, though. A playhouse in Springfield will be presenting Our American Cousin that night, which I really had hoped Ford's would do.

For those interested, a couple of days ago, I added a new widget to the sidebar on BoothieBarn which contains a list of upcoming Lincoln assassination related events planned for 2015. It's based on a Google calendar I made. The code being used to change the calendar into a list is a bit wonky at times, but if anyone would like to see the calendar as well, here's a link to it:

https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?sr...a/New_York

You can see the information in list form on the side of my website (or at the bottom if you are using a mobile device).

RE: Ford's150 Information
Wish I could split myself in two and be in Washington on April 14th and 15th. I will instead be giving a lecture on the Assassination for the local Civil War Roundtable.

Congratulations on your speech. Would you mind posting the date, time, and venue so I can add it to my blog's calendar of upcoming Lincoln assassination events?

RE: Ford's150 Information
I just booked my flight yesterday and will arrive in Washington on the 14th. I hope to catch most Lincoln related events until the 16th and then head out for an epic road. I'd love to meet people from this board who plan to attend.

@Dave - that list on your blog is great! It'll help me pick out a lot of things I would not have known otherwise. Thank you!

Bummer you can't make it, Anita. I will have pictures posted on the forum after the events.

RE: Ford's150 Information
I voted no on attending the 150th. But after reading the different things that are going to be going on I think I have to change my mind and try to attend. I have been to Washington before but this event is a once in a life time. Going to do my best to be there.

Great, I'll be the guy in the Sports Authority chair on 10th Street during the reenactment.

Cool. Gonna have a party that night!

I hope they will have the scenery the moment the assassination occurred on stage those days.

Great - let's meet up! I only managed to get tickets for general admission so far; some events are not available until March to non-members.

I'm really counting the days (weeks...) now!
