RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Gene,
I guess that's why you make the big money. Roger, it is Rosenwald. He was connected to Tarbell by asking her to write his biography and to Lincoln by being born in Springfield just a few blocks away from Lincoln's home. In fact, the NPS has put Rosenwald's birthplace in the Lincoln park area. RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
You may Google to your heart's content, because I don't think it will help.
After her death on January 6, 1944, Ida Tarbell was the subject of many editorials and tributes. However, there is one tribute that really stands out and, in my mind, doesn't make a lot of sense. What am I talking about? Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

Clue: It was only around for around two years.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Roger,
No, it has absolutely nothing to do with a magazine or newspaper. It is a physical item. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

A historical/commemorative marker?
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Very logical guess, Gene, but that's not it. The first historical marker to Tarbell was in 1941 in Pennsylvania, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania put one up in the early 1950s.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
How about a play about Ida Tarbell's life that was not well-attended and shut down after a couple of years?

Sorry, but neither guess is correct.
