RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Like much of Tarbell's work, it started out as magazine articles and then became a book.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Sorry guys, but it isn't them. Since someone will get it by process of elimination, I'm going to add a couple of more parts. First, why did Tarbell not like it? Second, many critics were also less than enamored with the work. What was their issue?

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Tarbell's book, The Ways of Woman? Weren't some reformers, like Jane Addams, critical of Tarbell's writings on women's issues?

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Steve,

Some reformers were indeed angry with Tarbell for her views on women, but she never apologized for them.

Next clue. The articles appeared in the American Magazine after Tarbell was no longer associated with it.
