Garrett Farm Highway Marker
There may be other members of the Symposium who, like me, tend to limit their reading to the "Assassination" threads, least we become full time residents of website (and have to pay rent to Roger). Consequently, I missed Roger's posting under "News and Announcements" about a month ago that the Garrett Farm highway marker along US Route 301 in Caroline County, VA, had disappeared (presumably stolen). The Virginia Department of Transportation was notified that the sign was missing, but responded that it did not have have the resources ($1630) to replace it. The Surratt Society undertook the effort to raise the funds with a notice in the December issue of The Surratt Courier.

In the event that Symposium readers missed the initial post or did not see the notice in the Courier, but wanted to help in the effort to have a new sign erected (possibly with improved text), they may make a contribution by check made payable to "The Surratt Society" with a note that it is a donation for the "Garrett Marker." Send them to: The Surratt Society, 9118 Brandywine Road, Clinton, MD 20735. Thank you!
