Kudos, Roger, that was the DKE member I was thinking of. I wonder if his father would have had an interest to join such society. Since Joe paved the way by getting the correct DKE connection both of you score.

In the spirit of the Season, please give any points I may get to Roger.

Merry Christmas, Roger.

I am curious, too, Thomas?!

Thanks for your kind words, Gene. We hope y'all enjoy. Many thanks also to Joe who does a phantastic job!!! This year I would never have made it all alone.

To keep with the Advent Calendar's idea of showing pictures, here you go:

Who "officially" matched this description?

Laurie and Eva, This is the link where the picture was found.
http://rawhidedown.com/hinckley/

It is not known when the photo was taken, since Hinckley arrived in Washington DC the day before he shot Reagan. Hinckley had made several trips to our Nation's Capital before the assassination attempt. A postcard of Reagan to Jodie Foster dated 2/15/81 was likely bought at one of them Souvenir stores in DC, but that too is unknown. What is known is Hinckley had a room at a hotel near the White House (The defunct Park City Hotel if I'm not mistaken) and had an Egg McMuffin at a McDonald's on K Street the morning of the attempt.

Thomas Kearney, Professional Photobomber.

Agree with Laurie!

My all-time favorite color is pink, so I proudly present this:

I have no idea. It looks like it might be wood. And William S. Wood was the Commissioner of Public Buildings for a time in the 1860s. So does it possibly have to do with William S. Wood?

RE: Trivia Advent Calendar
This the door to the location to which John Wilkes Booth planned to hide out immediately after he shot Lincoln. The broken leg changed his plans.
Just as well, he had overlooked the fact that they close at 8

* he chose this place base on the last sentence of the attachment

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

I don't think it's pink, but Lincoln's front door in Springfield?

Kudos, Joe! It is almost exactly that door except for the artistic licence I took to paint it pink...
