I have seen that one image of the State Box before. What is Rathbone wearing on his head?

I think that's just Rathbone's hair - albeit rather badly drawn and/or colored.... Rathbone was, I think if you look at high rez photos of him on the LOC site, more or less a red head. He seems to have had a lot of freckles!
